Thomann 3 Valve BBb Sousaphone – Used Model in Excellent PlayingCondition. Approximately £1,300 When New. Only 18 Months Old Thomann Bb Sousaphone 3 Valves 12Kg 17.8mm bore Brass bell and body Hard case with wheels 66mm bell This Bb Souzaphone was purchased from new within the last 18 months by our customer. It has only had light use and is presented in excellent condition. It was manufactured on behalf of Thomann (Germany), probably in a factory in China. It has neither model nor serial number; but you can see this product listed on the Thomann website (as a Thomann Sousaphone Messing). These models represent great value and blow very strongly; being brass throughout (rather than fiberglass) they deliver a good, full sound, but without being too heavy to use (as some of the older American models can be). Our customer supplied this to us with a whole batch of instruments because he is moving to a smaller house. Once these are in the case they are big things to store. This instrument has not been heavily used, has been properly cared for, and is in very good condition. The bell piece is in excellent condition physically, with only a few minor marks or dings. The lacquer is 100% and the join is clean and fits well into the receiving joint. It has one carriage ring. The previous owner has placed a simple small black mark on the bell and the main section so it is quick and easy to line up when assembling the parts. The brass body is also lacquered and in good condition. There are one or two very small dings and some minor scratching around the main branch. The valve section is excellent, and move very freely, as you would expect for such a new instrument. The tuning slides are all clean and move smoothly. It is supplied with the crook, 2 tuning bits, and a Wick 1L mouthpiece (used). The previous owner has improved and strengthened the crook by adding two brass circular stays to help it hold shape. It means some of the lacquer was lost as the heat was applied. These parts are stored in a soft pouch in the case. This instrument will arrive in good condition and will be guaranteed mechanically for 12 months, but not cosmetically. It is supplied with the original case, which is in perfect condition and good working order. The case is very heavy to lift and physically big (86cm h x 110cm w x 46cm d), but with the wheels is easy to transport, and offers very good protection. If on initial inspection you are disappointed in any way, and return it, you will receive a full refund. If it fails mechanically within 12 months you may return it for a full refund, or repair (at your discretion). It will be well packed before shipping and sent Business Post courier (inland UK only) for £100 and will require a signature on delivery (next day service). I will contact you first to establish what days someone will be there to sign for the parcel. Collection in person can be arranged, which would be very good for us, as these are not easy to pack – and, as you see, expensive to transport. Delivery for non-inland UK (e.g. Northern Ireland and Scottish Highlands) is £180. This item will be sent to most European countries (door to door) on Business Post Euroroad for £150.
