Thomas Edison signed photo! 1930 - SIGNED BY HAND "Thos A. Edison" A vintage photo of Thomas A. Edison, signed just before his death in 1931. I am not a photo expert and cannot tell you the type of photo. I can say it is in exquisite condition for its age, showing no pin holes or major creases. Some minor toning with age - this photo is nearly 80 years old! If you check price guides you will find that SIGNED photos of Thos. A. Edison are valued at over $2,500! This one starts at a fraction of that, WITH NO RESERVE! As always - satisfaction guaranteed or your money back! Circa 1930, this photo has a typed history attached to the rear (typos included): EDISON SCHOLARSHIP CONTESTANTS GATHER FOR TEST. EAST ORANGE, N.J. - Those two old cronies, Henry Ford and Thomas Edison, got together with the annual Edison technical school scholarship competition as an excuse and had a great time upsetting a few precedents and telling what was wrong - an right - with the country. It was Ford's 67 th birthday and perhaps as a mark of celebration he made a 22-word address on the radio, the first time he has formally consented to speak Edison also cut a caper by allowing a trio of newspaper men to enter his private laboratory. The two participated with other notables in welcoming ceremonies for the 49 boys from every state and the District of Columbia who will undergo an examination designed to establish which is the brightest.
