The canoe featured here is based on a real canoe that a friend of Thom's owns. Smoke tendrils curling out of the chimney signify the warmth of home; that perhaps after a cool day out on the lake, you might want to remove your damp clothes and relax by the fire, while the boat signifies adventure - the boating adventure that the day had held for whoever's now in his or her home, warming by said fire. Edition Explanation : the Studio Proof edition is a highly-exclusive, special reserve noted by its textured brushstroke canvas that recreates the artist's actual brushwork. It is then finished in oil by a master highlighter who also draws an original remarque on the back of the canvas.
