We put these prints away for good keeping and then forgot about them as other items came in and things got put aside. I discovered the box a few days ago and now will begin to offer these nifty prints. They are genuine in all respects, NOT reproductions or reprints. We only offer the genuine item. Thanks for looking and keep checking back for more as they are being posted. Indians, to Civil War, to Revolutionary War, to the War of 1812, botanicals, etc, etc . A FINE ANTIQUE VINTAGE PRINT : A GREAT AMERICAN NAVAL HERO., the commander of the ill-fated USS PHILADELPHIA., captured by the Pirates of Tripoli. He was in many battles and in command of many great ships of the American navy. This is an EXTREMELY SCARCE copper plate engraving of Comm. Thomas Macdonough ., a portrait in uniform of the American navy with fancy designs atop and figures of Douphins below. Drawn and engraved by T. Gimbrede of New York City., ca. 1810. Meassures about 9 x 12"., ~~Note that the print has been a bit cropped since it was likely in a frame at one time. Very light soiling from dust., O.W. fine. Never folded.
