Offering this exquisite old (late 1800's) edition of Thomas Moore's writings / poetry. Published by M A Donahue & Co, no publish date. Rich padded black leather hardboards, with gold gilt lettering and art nouveau illustration on front, gilt lettering on spine, gilt edges on all three sides of pages. Very good condition, no spine cracks, stains or tears, very minimal rubbing on top corner edges and top of spine. Except for previous owner's signature on first blank page - pages are clean, crisp, and tight, no scribbling, tears, missing pages, or stains, no foxing; measures 7 1/2 inches x 5 inches. Total of 477 pages, includes Odes to Anacreon, Juvenile poems, Epistles, Odes, Etc, Irish Melodies,Sacred Songs,Lalla Rookh, The Two Penny Postbag, & Trifles; plus appendix and notes. This is one of the finest editions of any book we have acquired from the 1800's - very well taken care of and loved. A handsome book for your library and your enjoyment!
