An original early 20th century tea paper OUR NOTED " JENNY BREWSTER " BLEND / E.D.THOMPSON & SON / HIGH STREET / OSMOTHERLEY / GROCER AND PROVISION MERCHANT / ESTABLISHED 1786 / GENERAL DEALERS TOBACCONISTS AND FANCY DEALERS etc. The absence of a telephone number would indicate this is pre WW1. Tea and coffee was sold loose in grocer's shops,weighed and then wrapped by the shop keeper in a tea paper printed with advertising for the shop. Osmotherley is a small North Yorkshire village between Northallerton,Thirsk,Stokesley,Yarm,Stockton-on-Tees and Middlesbrough. SIZE: 11.75" (30 cms) x 9" (22.75 cms) I have a number of other tea papers,other advertising and kitchenalia items listed for sale on eBay - wherever possible I always pack multiple purchases (from same day auctions together) to reduce postage costs for buyers. CONDITION: Very good condition. The pictures gives a fair representation of condition. Perfect addition to a themed collection.Great decorative item for a period kitchen.Please view the other collectors items I have for sale.
