This auction is for a beautiful Thorens 41 note music box. The Thorens movement is made in Switzerland. The case is a beautiful wood case with inlaid designs on the sides. The wooden box was made in Italy. I believe it is rose wood. The front door has very nice beveled glass. The music box measures approximately 22 1/2" high and 10 1/2" deep and 16" across. The music box comes with the instructions sheet and two Thorens D 41 discs. They are metal discs. One disc is numbered 1057 Edelweiss. The other disc is numbered 1058 Lara's Theme. The disc measure approximately 11" in diameter. It also comes with a letter from the The San Francisco Music Box Company. This music box was repaired some years ago by Rita Ford a music box expert from NY NY. This music box is in very nice condition and does work. It plays beautifully. It could use a slight adjustment because sometimes the discs pop off. I think the arm does not fully engage the center spool. The music box is very heavy and weighs almost 40 pounds.
