For your consideration, this terrific Aqua "THOs Clements - Philada" Blob Top Soda Bottle is up for auction.

Manufactured at the Turn of the 20th Century in Philadelphia, this Highly Embossed Blob Top Bottle is Aqua in color. It is considered a "Bimal Blob Top" and is Embossed with "THOs Clements - Philada." On the Reverse of the bottle is Highly Embossed "T.C." I couldn't help but say that the reverse of this bottle reminds me of a High School Letter Jacket - it's so pronounced ! This THOs Clements Aqua Blob Bottle is 8" tall and sets on a base that is 2 5/8" wide . The bottle's Embossing is in Terrific Shape, showing little, to no case wear. The Color is Excellent and the Base is Struck with the letters "TC" as well.

Before you read the condition of the bottle, please note that it is dug. Also, what makes this bottle different and should make collectors take notice, is that THOs Clements was known to use mainly Squat Blobs and Hutch Bottles and not this Blob Top version. If you have other info that would help this listing, please write me and let me know so I can include it in this listing - I am not an expert!

The overall condition is Good . The bottle has slight case wear and some slight staining (I do not clean dug bottles). T is some roughness to the lip (not enough to call a flea bite or chip as it can be felt more than noticed) and some small pings throughout the glass. T is also an area directly on the mould seam w, either the spade hit this bottle pretty hard or t are iron deposits within pre-existing scrapes to the bottle. Above this area t is a gouge that only effects the outer parts of the glass. These are mentioned for complete accuracy and it's a shame that this dug bottle wasn't handled with more care because it's still a Wonderful Bottle and t are no other chips, cracks, dings, fish eyes or repairs on this Antique Aqua Blob Top which would be a wonderful addition to any Collection of Great American Antique Soda Bottles!
