Three wonderful 19th Century Staffordshire transfer decorated bowls in the desirable American Marine pattern, manufactured by George L. Ashworth & Brothers, Hanley, England. These Circa 1870 pieces measures 8 1/2" in diameter by 1 1/4" deep. One bowl shows minor staining, predominately on the back but has no chips, cracks or restorations. One bowl has a tight hairline and a rim chip on the underside that was done at time of manufacture as it is glazed. The third bowl has a more serious spider crack and with a small chip in the center of the crack. All three bowls would display very nicely as the transfer on all three is bright and crisp and all three are a rich, deep brown color. Please see our current listings for several pieces of early American Marine transferware...all fresh from a Boston area estate. Bid with confidence as our items are guaranteed as represented.
