This is a group of three pure .999 fine silver .25 troy ounce trade units. The design is the famous design from 1908 by Boston sculptor Bela Lyon Pratt, used for the United States $5 gold coins and $2 1/2 dollar coins from 1908 through 1929. Lyon was a pupil of the famous Augustus Saint-Gaudens.These pure silver trade units will be extremely valuable if our financial system struggles and/or falters, and silver becomes a favored method of commerce. The fact that they is pure silver, and also a multiple of a fraction of a troy ounce makes them more usable that the pre-1965 U.S. silver coins, which were only 90% silver and are an odd weight and difficult to calculate their silver content. We have photographed these coins well, and we have listed this item with the E-Bay feature that allows youto view magnification of photographs and enlargements of photographs so that you can see and judge for yourself the condition of the coin. We have attempted to price the item as accurately as possible. Payment by “PayPal” is preferred.
