If you have any questions, please feel free to call or email. We can usually be reached at . THIS AUCTION ENDS ON are three Antique Japanese Scrolls. Two are the same size (first two pictured above) measuring 48" x 15", and the third one is larger at 64" x 21". The first two are in better condition than the third. One has a 1.5" tear at the lower left corner of the patterned margin. The other one has a stuttering scrape about 11" long down the left side of the painted part, about one inch from the edge. This one also has two cracks in the paper, across horizontally, though the paper is still in tact. Both are missing the hanging cord, but the metal loops are in tact. The third and larger one has many flaws. Missing a bottom weight, torn halfway from top bar, a tear in fabric upper left corner. Two deep cracks near the signature. One crack in the woman's dress. Someone (not us) has tried to repair the back with tape, but it has dried out. Despite these problems, (as well as the problem we have in naming or dating them), these have a wonderful look. They are obviously very old. The colors in the dresses are still very bright, and the detail is as amazing as when it was first painted. Extremely fine lines in the depiction of fabrics. Hair and eyes delicately painted. Very fine pink shading on cheeks. T are some lines of gold paint in the larger scroll. If anyone can make out any words or names from our pictures, we would be EVER SO GRATEFUL!!!
