Brand New! Mint Condition! Never Been Worn!
By adding these Historic Trail Medals to your collection you are supporting the adventures of Crew 2191 This Summer we are headed to Philmont for a Trek and, in 2010, we have offered to serve on the Staff of the 100th National Jamboree. All proceeds from the sale of these medals go directly to the young men and support their activities. These awards were researched, traveled, and prepared by the scouts of Crew 2191 from Sandy, Utah to celebrate our American heritage and provide recognition for those who choose to learn about and experience these historic trails. All awards have been prepared according to the dictates of the BSA National Office and each scout has submitted an application to the National BSA Office in Texas for recognition of their efforts and inclusion of this trail on the National Register of Historic Trails. The Pony Express Trail submission was prepared by Tyler Draper, Eagle Scout, Denali Recipient, and Outdoor Bronze Medal Venturer. The Mormon Pioneer Trail submission was prepared by Josh Fitzgerald, Denali Recipient, and Outdoor Bronze Medal Venturer. The California Trail submission was prepared by Porter Hixson, Eagle Scout, Denali Recipient, and Outdoor Bronze Medal Venturer. Living in Utah, "The Crossroads of the West," we have six major trails that pass through our state. The Pony Express, Mormon, and California Trails slice through the northern part of Utah while the Old Spanish Trail arcs through the south. The Great Western trail is a contemporary trail that takes advantage of the recreational opportunities found in the Wasatch Mountains and extends from Wyoming to Arizona. Finally, John Wesley Powell's historic exploration down the Colorado and Green Rivers gives us six very diverse and incredible opportunities to retrace the footsteps of our ancestors and experience US history first hand. We would encourage you to consider adding all six medals to your collection, either by purchasing them or, earning them with your scout group. You can find the requirements for each trail by going to our website : Thank you! Crew 2191
