This Auction is For An Original THREE STOOGES HAPPY BIRTHDAY RECORDOriginal Voices (1961) In what has been touted as a unique marketing adventure, the Three Stooges recorded this birthday record in 238 different versions—one for each unique named child—so you could purchase a 45-sized, 33 1/3-play record of the Three Stooges singing "Happy Birthday to You" .. personalized with your name! This is a seven-inch vinyl disc record originally recorded in November 1961 by the Three Stooges. It contains twelve minutes of non-stop song and jokes and originally sold for $1 in department stores (the ones with the generic paper sleeve) and $1.25 through a special mail order firm named Hargo Company (the ones with the personalized yellow cardboard record jacket). Record sales were reported to be very slow, and with so many versions produced, stocking all of them was problematic. Production stopped soon tafter, currently making these records a RARE find!
