For centuries magicians have argued about who invented what effect. It is amazing how many magicians then and now claim to have invented all the illusions that they use in their shows even ones that have been performed 50 years before they were born. This is the original patent that Thurston filed for what apparently is "The Spirit Cabinet". The patent was approved on Sept 17, 1918. If you are a collector of Thurston memorabilia then this is a must item. This patent is in good condition with a crease across the center w someone has folded it and a small tear in that crease on the right hand side. T are three staple marks down the left side of the description pages or which t are three and a quarter and staple marks down the right side of the two illustration pages. The patent is stapled on the upper left hand corner. Sells without reserve.
