Dzi Stones or beads are the most prized treasures of the Buddhist and Shambahala worlds. Their Origin was recorded in the teachings of Guru Padmasambhava and Jigmey Lingpa Rinpoche. When Guru Padmasambhava completed his first Buddhist temple in Tibet and turned the wheel of the Dharma, on that auspicious day Heavenly beings descended and attended the ceremony. The heavenly beings offered gifts of 18 Dzi Stones out of gratitude for the empowerment performed by Guru Padmasambhava. Later Guru Padmasambhava buried many mantras, sutras, treachings, each with Dzi Stones, in the mountains of Tibet. Thousands of Dzi Stones were buried by Guru Padmasambhava. These hidden teachings from Guru Padmasambhava were intended for the future generations, when life will be difficult on earth and humans will need his help, blessings, and teachings. The Dzi Stones can only be owned by a person with great merit and good karma.

To Tibetans the DZI STONE is considered the most precious treasure, as it has magical powers and can remove all obstacles from the owner who wears this stone. It will lengthen your lofe, protect you from harm and bring you good fortune and power. Devoted Buddhist practitioners have offered Dzi Stones to the Buddha, in order to increase their merit; the Dzi Stones were placed inside the statue or adorned the outside of the statue.
