Tibetan Authentic Yak Bone Mala Meditation Beads This traditional Tibetan mala was originally made of human bone from monks. The idea was to chant on each bead and contemplate the transitory nature of existence. Now the Mala Beads are made from Yak bone, which comes from the hairy mountain cows that lives in the Himalayan Mountains. These mala beads came from Tibetan refugees living in Kathmandu valley who escaped from Tibet. They are studded with little chips of Turquoise and Coral. The length of the Tibetan Mala 34" & the diameter of the Mala Beads is around 1/2"with a thickness of 1/4". This is a unique piece to add to your ritual or meditation.
