This listing is for a Table Prayer Wheel measuring 2in. by 6in. and hand crafted in Nepal by Tibetan artisans. This prayer wheel can be placed on the table or on any surface and is perfect way to pray any time you have a free hand. Prayer Wheels are used daily by monks and laypersons alike in all Tibetan Buddhist communities. The outside of the wheel has hand crafted design of the mantra 'Om Mani Padme Hung' (Hail to the Jewel in the Lotus) This is the mantra of Chenrezig, Avalokteshwara, the Buddha of compassion. Mani means Jewel and Padma means lotus. Inside the prayer wheel are scrolls containing this mantra. Every time the wheel is turned it releases all of these mantras into the universe.
