This Kangling is NOT A TOURIST ITEM CARVED WITH DESIGNS ON ITS OUTSIDE OR COVERED WITH REPOUSE METAL, IT IS A TRUE RITUAL ITEM SIMPLE AND RITUALLY CORRECT Despite its age and use, the BONE IS STRONG AND SOUND, bone has GREAT CREAM/BROWN PATINA ON THE BONE AS SEEN IN THE PICS WHICH IS EXPECTED IN A OLD KANGLING AND ONLY ATTEST TO ITS AUTHENTICITY AND AGE, AS EXPECTED IN SHAMAN KANGLINGS NO LEATHER COVER AND THE OPENINGS ARE ON THE SIDES. Sheen is consistent with age and use. The wooden bases in the PICS are not included in the auction, only the Kangling is for auction. This Kangling was acquired a from a very reputable source, a Tibetan Antiques Gallery in Austria called Oldrahu which specializes in Antique Buddhist items and is owned by Dr. Reinhardt Kapeller. All information was provided by the gallery when acquired, he also advised that it came from Nepal. This Kangling measures ALMOST 8.75 inches long and A BIT UNDER 2 inches wide at the end, TWO ROUND OPENINGS AT THE SIDES. Great POWERFUL ritual item, great sturdy feel to it.
