32 Piece Set of Tiffany & Company Sterling Silver Flatware in the Castilian Pattern Stunning and Rare Example of Art Deco Design Art Deco was a design movement of the 1920's and 30's whose influence can been seen in the architecture, fashion, and interior design of the time. A modern style characterized by bold lines and sweeping curves, classic examples of Art Deco style include the Chrysler Building (built 1928) and Radio City Music Hall (built 1929). With the release of the Castilian pattern in 1929, Tiffany & Company used the geometric patterns and opulent curves that characterized the Art Deco movement to create an elegant pattern of sterling silver flatware that embodies the era. This Auction is for 32 Pieces (Service for 6) of Tiffany & Co. Sterling Silver Castilian Flatware: - 6 Forks (7") - 6 Knives with Stainless Blades (9 1/4") - 6 Gumbo Soup Spoons (7 3/8") - 12 Teaspoons (5 7/8") - Large Meat Carving Fork with Stainless Tines (10") - Large Meat Carving Knife with Stainless Blade (11 1/2") Each piece in the set is monogrammed DHF. The monogram is a high-quality engraving with sleek lines that enhance the Art Deco styling of each piece. This flatware set is in good estate condition . Although the set has been well-maintained throughout the years, some pieces do show some wear. Please see the photographs for an up-close view of each piece. A few pieces in this set were recently restored by Tiffany & Company in their silver workshop outside of New York City and that paperwork is included. Also included are two nearly new flannel storage bags that Tiffany & Co. sent along with the restored pieces. Each piece marked: TIFFANY & CO STERLING M PAT. See photographs to the left...
