Red Mill Antiques Tiffany & Co/Marti Mahogany Inlaid Bracket Clock c1910 This is a Tiffany & Co bracket clock with works by Samuel Marti of Paris. The clock has a lovely mahogany case with an inlaid shell cartouche and borders. It measures 10 ½" in height, 8" wide, 5" deep and the bezel glass is 4 ½" in diameter. The dial is porcelain and hand painted. The hands appear to be gold or gold plated, but I can't say for sure. I don't know enough about clock works to give you much information about the type, but it was made by Samuel Marti. The clock dates to c.1910 - the style is Edwardian, the Marti medaille d'or from Paris in 1900 was used between 1901 and 1930. The clock works perfectly and chimes the hours and a single chime at the half hour. It's an 8-day wind up with pendulum, and the key is included. The Tiffany & Co on the dial is worn but readable, the clock is also marked Tiffany & Co on the works as shown. The rear of the clock has 2 chips to the veneer and a repair tag dating to 1989. The joints on either side w the dome meets the horizontal shows some minor damage or possibly an old repair - see the photos. The columns on either side of the dial appear to have brass capitals and they show tarnish or wear, nothing major. It's a lovely clock and I'm thoroughly enjoying the soft chiming of the hours and I love that inlaid cartouche; I'm sure you will too.
