A wonderful eight-piece antique Tiffany desk set c1910 in the very rare Pine Needle pattern in excellent condition. Guaranteed authentic and all-original. The gilt bronze has developed a stunning and beautiful dark golden patina. Presents wonderfully as-is or you could polish the set and have it shining in no time. I leave that to your individual taste. I present it in as-found condition from a large Maine estate collection. This magnificent set consists of the matched pair of blotter ends; inkwell with four ball feet and the original super-clean glass insert; adjustable blotter with beaded edges and original cedar base; hinged memo pad with original cedar wood base; pen tray with four ball feet; letter opener; and mother of pearl-handled quill pen. The top knob on the blotter screws off to facilitate replacement of the cedar blotter base. T are small monograms on some of the pieces. All pieces are signed with the TIFFANY STUDIOS NEW YORK hallmark along with the pattern numbers. The only piece I could not find a mark on is the quill pen. I am unsure if it is original to the set but even if its not it is very old with a fabulous mother of pearl textured handle featuring elegant intricate scrollwork on the bronze writing portion of the pen. Condition: Excellent. All amber/white slag glass is original and undamaged with no chips, cracks or hairlines. All bronze is excellent with no breaks, cracks or repairs. One blotter end has a couple of extremely minor dings that are barely noticeable. I don't believe you could find this rare and highly desired Tiffany Pine Needle desk set in finer condition. Dimensions: Blotter Ends 12" long x 2" wide. Pen Tray is 9 5/8" long x 2 3/4" wide and stands 3/4" high. Letter Opener is 9 1/4" long. Pen is 5 7/8" long. Memo Pad is 7 3/4" x 4 3/4". Inkwell is 3" x 3" x 3". Blotter is 6" x 3" and stands 2" to top of screw-off knob. I am proud to present this much sought-after Tiffany set in the finest of condition!
