Next up for auction is an Original Tiffany Studios Etched-Metal and Glass Inkstand in the Pine-needle Pattern. This particular Inkstand is the largest of the two square styled inkstands that Tiffany produced in this pattern. If not for one tight hairline crack in the glass this inkstand would be absolutely mint in most everyway. What is also quite interesting is that it still retains the original ink insert along with it`s black pen holder / dipper. ( please see photo ) This is a very early example of this style of inkstand. The patina finish is pristine and beautiful. The Tiffany glass used is also interesting and wonderful as you can tell from the photo of the inkstand`s underside. The inkstand is 4 inches in width by 4 inches in depth by 3 1/2 inches tall. It is properly signed Tiffany Studios, New York, # 14 ( early number ). The original glass insert is signed, The Davis, New York, along with pattern numbers and dates. T is a small flake out of the underside of the insert. Please e-mail any questions you have.
