A magnificent 5-piece Tiffany desk set, circa 1900, made from striated white and amber glass and etched bronze metal in the grapevine pattern. The set consists of a stamp box, a pen holder, a paperweight picture frame, an inkwell, and an ink blotter. Each piece is signed TIFFANY STUDIOS NEW YORK with its corresponding model number. For the stamp box, that number is 801. The number 29 also appears. The model numbers that appear on the other pieces are as follows: penholder - 1004, picture frame 930, inkwell 845. There are additional numbers and letters that were etched in later by previous owners. For example, in the case of the picture frame, the letters J.B.D., undoubtedly the initials of the owner, are visibly stamped on the exposed part of the frame itself. As for the inkwell, the number 3945 is etched underneath, probably indicating an inventory number. Similarly, the ink blotter has the numeral 5309 etched into it. DIMENSIONS: Stamp box: height 1-3/16" length 4-1/16" width 2-1/4". Pen holder: height 3/4" length 9-5/8" width 2-3/4". Picture frame: height 1-1/4" length 4-5/8" width 3-1/2".
