is an original Tiffany Studios Desk Set Piece. It is in the Grapevine pattern and is made of Slag Glass, Bronze and Oak. It is signed on the back Tiffany Studios New York 1. (see pix). This is an unusual piece. Paper would simply slide in the holder area. The cover portion is slag glass and bronze. The bottom base part is a dark oak wood. The piece measures approx. 4 1/2" x 7 1/2" and is in good condition. T are some striations (natural flaws that are in the making) in the glass as is so typical of old slag glass. I tried to photo one that is visible from the front. (see pix) T are no cracks, chips or repairs to the glass. The hinged area is metal not bronze and some of the paint is chipping in this area. (see pix) This is an old original piece dating to the early 1900's. Please email with questions. Illinois Residents must add 6 1/2% Sales Tax.
