Tiffany Studios Linenfold Glass Shade Lamp with Correct Tiffany Studios Base. Shade is composed of 30 pieces of Favrile Linenfold Amber Glass. The top row of panels is perfect with no damage noted. The middle, larger band of glass is also perfect. The narrow bottom band is almost perfect with one panel having a tiny crack in the corner. All glass is tight and bright. Shade is correctly marked "Tiffany Studios New York 1938 Pat. Appl'd for". On the inside of the shade t is a small copper ring from which the original price tag hung. The shade is attached to the base via three Tiffany thumb screws. The lamp vents at top to prevent overheating & cracking of glass from heat. The vented area is a Greek Key type design. The Greek Key area is somewhat wavy looking but I assume it was made that way. The finish appears to be gold dore which compliments the gold-colored glass nicely. The base is quite nice, also. It is correctly marked "Tiffany Studios New York" and numbered 613. The finish appears original to me. The base is 12-sided and has nice weight to it. The lamp is lighted by a pull chain socket. It is advisable to use a lower watt bulb to protect the shade. I have photographed the lamp lighted and unlit. The cord appears to be a replacement. The pull chain lacks a ball at the end on the chain. Otherwise this fine old lamp appears complete and in near excellent condition. The lamp stands 19 inches tall. The shade is nearly 8 inches across. Shipping is 35. Insurance will be based on final sale price. Thank you for considering my item. Please ask questions prior to bidding. Reserve is much lower than you think. A Linenfold recently sold on ebay for over 17,000. but my reserve is half that amount (maybe even less!) Hello. I have added, at the request of several bidders, pictures of the Tiffany Studios name & number on the shade and on the base. I have also added a picture of the single hairline crack in one of the small panels of the lamp (t are thirty total panels). The small crack can be seen above the word "Tiffany" on the shade.
