We are pleased to be offering this wonderful 1940s tiger maple triple serpentine front ball and claw governor Winthrop secretary desk. It has a crown molded broken arch top with a center turn finial, two lattice grilled work glass doors that open up to expose a dual shelf interior, a bevel edge slant top lid that opens up and is supported with two pull out slides, it exposes a multi drawer cubby hole interior with a carved center door and two cleverly disguised hidden compartments behind turned pillars. The three drawers are serpentine and have the original Chippendale brass style hardware. I have seen many mahogany Winthrop Desks over the years but never a Tiger Maple as unique as this.
