You are bidding on ONE Tim'y Slack 7/16 Inch T Auger. Measuring 10 1/2" long, the handle is 8 1/4" wide, and it weighs 4 oz unboxed. Tim'y (Timothy) Slack was a Chester PA maker of augers and brace bits. I don't have exact working dates but I know him to be mid 19th Century at least. Good shape, the lead screw and edges are good. I can't say what kind of wood the handle is. That has a few bumbs, dings and stains, but it's solid and on tight. You don't see too many of these small ones around. Cheap shipping! The somewhat NOT SO FINE Print BIG CHANGES AGAIN 08/30/08 Priority Mail items less than $50 are sent at actual shipping & with Delivery Confirmation plus a small charge for packing. For items under $50, insurance is optional, for items over $50 insurance is mandatory. Smaller items are sent via 1st Class mail with Delivery Confirmation at a flat rate which includes the cost of the padded mailer which I do NOT get for free (and they get more expensive as they get bigger in size so that is factored in as well) and the extra packing time. For 1st Class, items under $50, insurance is optional, for items over $50 insurance is mandatory. The only exception for both Priority and First Class are items that I feel are fragile enough that warrant insurance. I only ship via the Post Office. I do not ship UPS or Fedex (and they sure ain't any cheaper). Please do NOT waste my time or yours asking me to ship something for free. I spend a lot of time and money in gas out buying these items and that is year round. I am always happy to combine shipping on multiple items, These are sent out at actual cost plus a small packing fee (which rarely goes over $2.00 no matter how many items unless t is something big or odd). PA buyers must add 6% sales tax or provide an exemption certificate. International bidders are welcome. Foreign shipments have a minimum $1.50 US packing fee in addition to the shipping costs. Please allow at least 24 hrs for me to get you oversea's shipping costs. The same applies for shipping quotes before an item ends. Items over 1 lb in weight tend to get very expensive to ship internationally. Please check with me on the shipping before placing a bid or a Buy-It-Now. Please do not hit the Instant Payment if you are buying multiple items until I get you a combined invoice. I prefer to have things cleared up every 10 days to 2 weeks.
