I add auctions when time allows so keep checking. I will combine shipping for additional orders to save you money! Up for auction today is a beautiful small old box which opens and is a picture frame. The lady that I got this from said it is very old but was not sure of the age. I was contacted and someone told me that they thought this was a tintype photo case. It is about 2" wide and about 2 1/2" long. It appears to be wood and that is what it looks like but I cannot tell for sure. I seen one like it that was listed as thermoplastic. It is a nice dark brown rich color which is nicer than auction photo appears which is lighter. It has a raised designed.On the side t is a latch or hinge so that when undone it opens up to an area for a picture. On the left side is the inside of wood box and on the right is a 2 layered Gold design with glass which covers the picture for protection. The first layer is not attached but was at one time as you can see w it was glued on the back side of it when you take it out. It appears it was meant to stay attached as on the top of the box t is a slit in order to put your picture down inside the box behind the glass. Very unique. T is also a small wire loop on the top of box so this can be hung if you like from anything to a Christmas Tree to a larger necklace if you like. Or just use it by itself and
