This is an auction for a tintype plaque with a family of three and two flags, the Italian Bandiera di Stato (State's Flag) of the Kingdom of Sardinia and an American flag with 48 stars. The surface is in good condition considering this item is nearly a hundred years old. T are no blisters or peeling, however t are a good deal scratches on the finish; please see the photo detail to view a tiny bit of rust on the back top seam. The black felt back and wire easel are in good condition. This oval tintype plaque measures 7 ¾ inches tall by 5 ¾ inches wide. Looking at the dress the woman is wearing, this plaque was probably created in the late teens or early nineteen-twenties. I do not know who the family is, but you can have your own instant Italian ancestry with this historic item. This would be a great addition for anyone who is interested in Italian-American history.I have set NO RESERVE. I am not a dealer; I need to let go of a lifetime of collecting. This is an old fragile item tfore it will be shipped with double packaging and insured. This item cannot be returned, it is to sell as is. If you have any questions, please contact me via eBay. Sorry no returns, item sold as is, ask me questions before you buy I am glad to reply to any inquires.
