Tiny Pressed Glass Open Salt in Tortoise Shell Bakelite

Offered for auction is a precious little pressed glass open salt in a tortoise shell colored Bakelite holder. The paneled salt is decorated with an arched beaded design in the center and base, and is smaller in the lower section to fit snugly into the holder. It measures 1-5/8" in diameter at the rim, tapering to just under 1" at the base, stands 3/4" high and is in excellent condition with one tiny nibble in the rim. The holder has a serrated flared rim that is 2-3/8" in diameter, tapering to a 1-3/8" in diameter flattened base. It is 5/8" high and is in excellent condition.
