For the next few months I'll be listing thimbles and sewing items from the collection of Martha Arrufat, a long time member of the Bay Area Thimble Society (BATS). Due to her illness I've been asked by the family to sell her large collection. Martha has been collecting for many years and is a very diverse collector. I'm sure you'll find things to add to your collection no matter what type of sewing items you enjoy. This sterling silver made by Ketcham & McDougall has a fluted-band of gold. The KMD trademark along with Sterling is in the apex, and 5 is marked on one of the many panels. The panels are chased with 3 different patterns and one of the panels has what appears to be Mh engraved on it. Similar thimbles can be seen in Gay Ann Rogers book, American Silver Thimbles , on page 71, number 42. The thimble dates to the 1880's - 1890's and is in excellent condition with no holes and in round. It stands 3/4" tall. I accept PayPal, Money Orders and Personal Checks (item will be held until check clears) for U.S. transactions. I WILL ONLY ACCEPT PAYPAL in U.S. DOLLARS FOR INTERNATIONAL TRANSACTIONS. An invoice will be sent at the end of the auction and payment is required within 5 days of auction end. Once you've received the invoice, please email me to let me know your method of payment and mailing address within 2 days. Shipping
