BACK OF SHIRT READS: tdf Theatre Development Fund 2006 FALL GALA A Chorus Line October 12, 2006 I obtained this t shirt when I attended the tdf 2006 Fall Gala which included seeing a performance of the Broadway revival of Michael Bennett's A CHORUS LINE, exactly one week after their official opening. What is TERRIFIC about this shirt is that it is a facsimile of the t-shirt worn by the character of "Al" in A CHORUS LINE. In the original 1975 production and now in the 2006 revival, the character of "Al" wears a "tkts" t-shirt in the show, representing the "TKTS BOOTH" in Times Square , run by the Theatre Development Fund. The TKTS Booth is w you can buy half-price tickets to Broadway shows, "day of" only, and is a true institution for theater-going New Yorkers and tourists alike. Also known as "The Booth" or "Twofers". This shirt is a must for any A CHORUS LINE fan or New York Theater history buff. RARE. This shirt has NEVER been worn. The shirt is green in color, and the lettering both front and back is in a salmon/pink. It is a size large (L) and made of 100% pre-shrunk cotton.
