Up for auction is an antique fencing tool. This one is a cast iron stretcher by JACOB HAISH called THE RATTLER. The patent date is marked on the handle but couldn't get it to show in the picture very well. The main body measures about 10 inches long. The "wheel" parts measure about 3 1/4 inches across. From one end of the handles to the other end measures about 10 inches. The grip is missing on the outer end, but the rest of the stretcher is in fine working order, with no other breaks or repairs. It is in "as found" condition, so expect the original rust and dust. Once cleaned, it would make a nice addition to your wire tool collection or a neat conversation piece in the antique room. If you have the tool book by Smith & Smith, it is number 222. A low starting price for a good tool. This is one you very seldom see. If you have questions, please ask early. I encourage insurance, but your option. Will combine shipping when possible. Thanks for looking.
