2003 Tokai LS Model Love Rocks LP Style Guitar (for details about the model number, see further down!) This is a wonderful example of the MIJ LP style guitar. I bought it from Japan a few years ago, and it's served me well since. A lot of this guitar has been modded, so here's a list of what is non-original Old Grover tuners Fatboy aged bell knobs (stop laughing, you) ReWind 'Low Output' Humbuckers, made by my hero James over in the US - frankly amazing pickup set. The low wind makes them clear and articulate. Sound great for blues, classic rock, even heavier stuff. Just expect a bit of squeal once you kick in the REAL high gain stuff... 50s Sprague Bee Capacitors - 0.11 on the neck, a real .022 classic on the bridge. Lovely. CTS pots 500k pots, 10% tolerance. No nasty taper when you ride the volume control. So it's a beast. It has the classic "open book" headstock as well, which is becoming rare in the UK now Tokai changed the European headstock design. It plays like a dream - nice neck - not a flat thin 60s neck, there's more shoulder to it, but it's not a deep U shape or anything - I'd say it's a D. Now, the inevitable "reason for sale"!
