This is quite an interesting find. These are yearbooks or annuals from Mckinley Junior High School in Los Angeles, Ca. 1928-1929 and 1929-1930. After doing some research I found that Tokyo Rose Iva Toguri (she just passed away at the age of 90 on Sept. 26th 2006) was an 8th and 9th grade student at Mckinley Junior High. She is depicted in several photos through out these yearbooks. Who knows what other Celebrity or famous person may be in this year book. WHAT A GREAT PIECE OF HISTORY ON WORLD WAR II TOKYO ROSE. I WOULD SAY QUITE RARE. This depicts her in her very early years. These are almost 80 years old, so keep in mind they are not perfect. All pages are intact and they are still very well held together. (These books were actually edited, printed, bound, cut and covered in the printshop at the school by students). T is the normal signing and marking of yearbooks throughout. It states that she went to Mckinley Junior Highschool. /orphan_ann/alderson.html See /orphan_ann/orphanan.html#recs for her story.
