As usual, the runt of the litter was the first to get short-changed, as he was too small to compete with his brothers and sisters for a place by Mom's side. This last little rabbit has a coin from Zimbabwe, the last country in the alphabet. But look at him now! A concerned Gnome came to his rescue with a tiny baby bottle and an unending supply of patience. At first this bunny could only drink a small quantity before nodding off for yet another nap. Now he polishes off an entire baby bottle full of fresh, warm milk (pasture-ized, thanks to an obliging cow in a nearby meadow). The Gnome encourages him, "Drink your milk so you'll grow big and strong!" and the carrots and baby corn are a sample of future treats. He knows that rabbits love to hear, "Eat all your vegetables!" This is a Tom Clark and Tim Wolfe/Kindred Spirit.Dr. Tom Clark is the most well known sculptor in America today, and is best known for his warm and whimsical gnomes, woodspirits and other limited edition collectible sculptures. I'm amazed to think someone can sculpt a face so tiny and seem so real! His woodspirits (gnomes) are clay sculptures, made from crushed pecan shells. He is a former professor of religious art. Each sculpture is a limited edition collectible.The story card tells a little bit about the statue or what prompted Tom Clark to create it.Tom Clark has two versions of hand signing his name, a full version and a short version.In 2002, the production was moved overseas and are now made in China.I have a large "Retired" Tom Clark gnome collection (over 2,000 items) that I plan to auction off. They are in mint/new condition and many of them are in their original boxes, have story cards and are hand-signed by Tom Clark.Should t be any flaws in an item, I will carefully describe them as accurately as possible.
