Custom made Tomahawk " Peacepipe" Antiqued Steel head hand cut Shaft Imade this back in the 1970's used to do a lot of Revolutionary warreenactments and belonged to Thompsons Battalion. All hand made the shaft is 20" long from tip to tip. The head has been Antiqued and Plum Brown barrel antiquing used is 6 1/2 inches from the top of the pipe bowl to the tip of the blade. The shaft is hand painted with designs and has solid brass dome shaped pins in 2 different sizes at the upper end of the shaft near the head. The end of the shaft at the tip of the Head w the shaft was Drilled for smoking is covered with an antique mother of pearl round cover . The leather strap hanging in the center has beads and a hollow piece of horn. It's not depicting and particular Tribe of Native Americans. It was one that i made and carried during thew Bi- Centennial in 1975.This one can be smoked It has Snake skin and leather wrapped around the shaft. T are 20 1/4 inch dome shaped brass tacks around the head t are 5 tacks in a row around the shaft by the head t are 1/8" tacks farther back on the shaft . Between the snake skin inlays t are designs painted on the top of the shaft A turquoise Bird and a yellow and orange Arrow the back part of the shaft has a 2 3/4 inch painted area with red and yellow bands around the outside.
