Estate - Tommaso Spanu Rusticated Bent Billiard Smoking Pipe-- w/ Lucite Handcut Stem

This is a NO Reserve Auction for this very nice Bent Billiard Rusticated Smoking Pipe from Tommaso Spanu of Italy. Tommaso has gained a terrific reputation for the quality and workmanship of his handmade smoking pipes over the past years. I have a Spanu that I got about 6 yrs ago- it is an oversized billiard with a Bamboo Shank Extension; this pipe is in the top 5 of my rotation . It has been my experience that once you try one of his pipes you will likely want a 2nd! (My other Spanu is a smaller-- slight bent billiard; great smoker but just is a tad to small to make it into the top 5 list--however, I would not sell it). The pipe was made in 2004 and comes with its special pipe box and pipe glove . It is a pre-owned pipe in EXCELLENT Condition-- NO Issues ! It has a hand carved lucite, light amber stem- you can see thru the stem. It is a good size pipe; feels great to hold . Very well balanced (as all his pipes appear to be) and has a great craggy rustication with light areas and slightly darker areas. The end of the shank has a small accent piece that matches to stem. Overall length is about 6"; bowl height of 2" and inner bowl diameter of 3/4"-- outer diameter of the bowl is approx 2" wide. It feels somewhat lightweight in view of the size of the pipe. Nomenclature on bottom of shank: Tom Spanu, 2004 . A pipe cleaner does pass smoothly thru the stem and into the bowl.
