Take a look at this fascinating 1879-S Morgan Silver Dollar. This coin was graded by America's Oldest Grading Service, ANACS, as an incredible MS-65 with stunning details, amazing natural toning on both sides, and overall beautiful eye appeal. Take a look at the pictures we took for you and see for yourself. We are sure you will like what you see! The Morgan Dollars were minted from 1878 to 1904 and again for one more year in 1921. The Morgan Dollar is named after its designer, George T. Morgan, who designed the obverse and reverse of the coin. The dollar was authorized by the Bland-Allison Act of 1878. It has a fineness of .900, giving a total silver content of 0.77344 troy ounces (24.057 grams) per coin. This outstanding coin will make an excellent addition to any collection!
