Tonner Twilight saga EDWARD CULLEN OOAK movie-inspired repaint "Edward" started out as a Tonner Twilight Edward Cullen. I'd originally planned to turn him into a Cedric Diggory but I've gotten too swamped with projects to get into a whole new one so after shelving him for a bit I decided to just keep him Edward. I removed his original face and painted a new one based on Robert Pattinson in the movies. In addition to a new face Edward has also been fully blushed (his body has been colored and enhanced for realism, from head to toe!). Edward's faceup was done using a variety of doll-safe paints in my own time-tested technique. His eyes were painstakingly painted to resemble Edward's eyes in the film, sealed in clear gloss for a realistic wet look. As an added dose of attention to detail, Edward has been dusted with shimmery sparkle powder, an enhancer made for dolls, which gives him an irridescent sparkle when Edward is in full light. It's a subtle layer that virtually disappears in indirect lighting. To seal everything, Edward has been coated in several layers of spray fixative created specifically for preserving doll painting. You can gently change Edward's clothing without fear of ruining his finish. Lastly I washed Edward's hair and released it from the factory hairdo (which was rather like a helmet!) and gave him a trim. I finger-styled read more
