I own a mafia themed restaurant, called "Wiseguys", located in West Haven, Ct. ( /forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=6551&p=69125) with one of a kind items featured like Al Capone's Cigar Desk, signed autographs from most of the stars in movies like The Godfather I, II, III, Casino and Goodfellas along with other costumes and props from those movies as well. Also we have a Rat Pack section of personal items as well. The items being auctioned off are unable to be displayed at our restaurant as it is filled to capacity at the moment. Up for auction is a beautifully tailored black 2 piece suit made by Wayside of Milford. This suit is absolutely stunning, no burn holes, rips, tears and was owned and worn by Tony "The Ant" Spilotro. T is no size listed, but has a tag that states, "alter with ballpoint needle". His character was portrayed by Joe Pesci in the movie "Casino". This item, along with a host of other mafia memorabilia, were purchased for my restaurant in town. This item was from an Estate Sale of Tracey DeSimone, Tommy DeSimone's Aunt who lived in town. Tommy DeSimone was Joe Pesci's character in "Goodfellas". Tommy would often visit as West Haven is only an hours drive from New York, w Tommy and the other "Goodfellas" operated. According to his aunt, Tommy would often bring to her home many notable mobsters like Henry Hill, Paul Vario, John Gotti and Tony Spilotro, to name a few. Because Tommy and the rest of the "Goodfellas" would work heisting Teamster Trucks leaving the local airports, they needed permission from the Chicago Boss Tony Spilotro to do so. The Teamsters were controlled by the Mafia, and they ran Las Vegas behind the scenes like the movie "Casino". Though different families had different financial interests, they would often work together to "earn" for their family. Tony Spilotro left a number of items at the home of Tracey DeSimone while he was meeting with Tommy on numerous occasions dealing with the robbing of the Teamster Trucks out of the airports. According to the estate, Spilotro was a nice man to meet, but as in the movie "Casino", he was a violent man if crossed. Own an authentic piece of mafia history. This tailored suit comes with a Notarized Certificate of Authenticity from Ms. DeSimone's Estate to verify the authenticity of the suit in question. Payment is due after the auction and buyer is responsible for shipping. Good Luck and happy bidding.
