's Toonerville Trolley...I have never had an old glass candy container without a chip, and in keeping with this tradition, Toonerville's hitch is broken. The pieces were inside the container when I purchased him at auction. Seems to be an old break.
Believe the old Toonerville has undergone some repaint some time ago, too.
The red slide lid, which shows some wear, is fine. Overall, I think he's a good piece and a bit rarer to find these days. I think he has some good attributes and is a worthy candy container. The conductor is great. Love his face and the expression. The embossed detailing of the container is also fine.

This candy container and the Spark Plug I have listed came from a nice little local auction in the Midwest. Seems to have been a well-loved member of the family. I have not cleaned this piece and am selling Toonerville in the exact condition as purchased at auction. I think he's has merit. Like Spark Plug, think this one is also a classic figure.. Believe he would be a great addition for every collector of early candy containers of the Era.
He's fun, has a great expression on his face, appropriately marked, and has a wonderful red slide lid!
