's a really great old piece of elegant glassware which was manufactured by the famous Fostoria Glass Company of Moundsville, West Virginia. The etched deocration on this is called "Versailles" (Fostoria's plate etching #278, which was produced from 1928 until 1944. This is Fostoria's yellow color, which they called "Topaz", and later "Gold Tint", and this particular piece is shown in the old Fostoria catalogs as the 2375 - 11 in. Hld. Lunch Tray . By my measurements, the piece is about 11-1/2" across, and stands about 4-3/4" tall, more or less, at the top of its fleur-de-lis handle. It is free of chips, cracks, fleabites, major scratches, or other nastiness. It's just a magnificently beautiful piece of old colored elegant glassware from arguably the premier elegant glass producer of the time period. It's one of those pieces that makes me wish I could keep all the stuff I acquire, but this one (along with most of the other stuff) is just with me for a short time, is admired and appreciated, and off it goes before I get further buried in this stuff. So it needs a new home, preferably yours. E-mail me with any questions, and I'll answer as best I can. Buyer to pay only ACTUAL shipping costs (USPS Parcel Post from zip 67042), plus actual insurance costs, if insurance is desired. Again, e-mail me with any questions, and I'll do my best to reply in a timely manner (but please don't wait until the day before the auction closes). individually). Payment is expected within 10 days of the close of the auction. Cashiers checks/money orders are preferred, but personal checks are fine also (item is held for 5-7 days for the check to clear, but repeat buyers ship as soon as I can get around to it, since I do have a real day job). And strictly for the convenience of my faithful buyers, I am again accepting Paypal. Until I decide to stop taking it again. I do have some other auctions running (and may yet do a couple of other things), so be sure to click on 'view seller's other items' on the top right of this page for more nice elegant and Depression-era glass. And thanks for looking. And bidding. And buying.
