Topping Model Convair B-58 Hustler Original box and packing! This is a vintage Topping Model with original box and packing materials! This Convair B-58 Hustler has the original stand with “USAF CONVAIR Hustler B-58” attached to the base. The base also has a removable tray on it. The plane is 8-3/4” long; the wingspan is 5-1/2” wide. Condition: The plane is in excellent condition, no scratches, dents, or cracks. The decals are intact. The left outer engine was broken off and glued back on. The right inner engine is currently falling out of the mount and loose. The other 2 engines are clean and appear to be factory attached. The stand and plane have a little dust on them. The box is in good condition, the top flaps are a bit out of shape and dusty. T is a large gouge on one side. The number/year code on the bottom is 4-57 I will be happy to send you additional pictures. This model came from my grandfather’s collection. He worked for Convair and was in the aviation industry for many years. Shipping: The plane will be packed in the original box as shown in the pictures. I will then wrap the box with bubble wrap and place it inside of a larger box and mail it USPS. I will also offer local pick up, please contact me. The Convair B-58 Hustler was the first operational supersonic jet bomber, and the first capable of Mach 2 flight. The aircraft was developed for the United States Air Force for service in the Strategic Air Command (SAC) during the late 1950s.
