You are bidding a section of a Torah Scroll 500 Years old from Persia. This section is Moses being forbidden from entering the Land from Deuteronomy- Debarim 3:21-4:35 . This one is very, very old and well preserved. It is a very old fragment possibly as old as the 16 th Century. Notice the unusual Pey often called Pey in Pey and found only on the very oldest Scrolls It is from Persia and is hand written on dark brown deer skin. This very soft leather parchment holds its ink very well and the hand written letters remain very dark black and easy to read despite centuries of use in the Synagogue. This piece is in excellent condition even though it is very old and will continue to be beautiful for centuries to come, making it a wonderful heirloom, a good investment and a lasting piece of history.
