You are bidding a section of a Torah Scroll. This one is very, very old and well preserved. This section is Abraham finding a bride for Isaac from Genesis-Bereshit 24:36-24:63 . It is a very old fragment possibly as old as the 16 th Century. It is from Persia and is hand written on dark brown deer skin. This very soft leather parchment holds its ink very well and the hand written letters remain very dark black and easy to read despite centuries of use in the Synagogue. This piece is in excellent condition even though it is very old and will continue to be beautiful for centuries to come, making it a wonderful heirloom, a good investment and a lasting piece of history.
