1915 Worlds Fair momento - a brilliant faceted ruby colored crystal suspended on a brass wire, with a medal commemorating the " Tower of Jewels" constructed for the Worlds Fair in San Francisco, CA. All original and in great shape. A very early worlds fair collectible.
The brass wire hanger is a little over 3" tall. The beautifully facet crystal is 2" across. The attached medal says: " FROM THE TOWER OF JEWELS, P.P.I.E., W Darcy Ryan Chief of Illumination, Certified. " and on the other side has a likeness of the tower. A small framed mirror hangs behind the jewel to reflect light into the jewel to illuminate it. A great, early Worlds Fair Collectible!
