For your consideration, Towle Silversmith's 8th in the 12 days of Christmas Series, 8 Maids-A-Milking Ornament or Medallion. Perfectly round in shape, one side is done in repousse and has the 8 Maids-A-Milking straddled with yokes on their shoulders and pails hanging from the yokes. Each maid is surrounded with an arch and separated with decorative scrolling lines and plumes. In the center is a very tiny cow head. The other side is engraved with a modern stylized floral design that has rounded buds and grass like stems. It is in excellent condition and has a lovely patina but would polish brilliantly. It is signed "Towle Sterling 1978" and has a silver jump ring attached so all you need is the chain or the ornament hook. This piece comes comes with the original box, red cloth pouch and the pamphlet. The pamphlet is in perfect condition with no rips or stains. The pouch is also in perfect condition with no tears, holes or loose stitches. The box has some slight wear to the red on the top of the corner tips and one seam is split almost all the way up but is still tight-like and would be mendable. I think even the cotton in the box is original! It measures 2 1/4" diameter and weighs 21 grams. Just a note: I ask for payment with-in 5 days of the end of the auction. I try to ship with-in 1 to 2 days after the payment has been received.
