This is a nice set of sterling silver by Towle in the heavy El Grandee pattern. It is a 6 piece service for 10 with 5 serving pieces for a total of 65 pieces. Total weight is 106.7 ounces with the knives, 87.3 ounces without the knives and serving pieces. This is in very good condition, with only surface scratches, no dings, pitting or monograms. This was purchased in 1964 so it is an early heavy set. It includes 10 dinner forks, 10 dinner knives, 10 salad forks, 10 round soup spoons, 10 tea/coffee spoons, 10 butters and a carving set, pie server and a pierced spoon and a large ladle.
