Towle Sterling Silver. 1937 pattern RAMBLER ROSE Complete 6 piece service for 8 plus serving pieces plus storage chest. Marked: TOWLE STERLING with the pattern name. Dinner knives and Cake Server have Sterling handles and stainless blades. All other pieces are solid Sterling silver. No monograms. (8) Dinner Knives 8 5/8" (8) Dinner Forks 7 3/8" (8) Round Soup Spoons 6 3/8" (8) Salad Forks 6 5/8" (8) Flat Butter Knives 5 7/8" (12) Teaspoons 6" (2) Serving Spoons 8 3/8" (1) Gravy Ladle 6 7/8" (1) Sugar Server 5 7/8" (1) Lg. Butter Server 6 7/8" (1) Cake Server 10 1/2" (1) Meat Serving Fork 7 3/8" (1) Pickle Fork 5 5/8" T's nothing wrong with this set even though it's a 70 year young antique. No dented knife handles or stained blades, No bent spoons or forks. Pieces are tarnish free. Clean and ready-to-use. Cake server has one sharp knife edge for cutting and serving with one piece. Storage chest is included. Quality hardwood construction. It does have a few small scuffs on the outside but is in overall good condition. The inside (w it counts) is all clean and odor free. The silvercloth is all tight. No loose cloth or broken knife holders. Room for additional pieces if you wish to expand your service later. I can't think of anything else you need to buy. This solid Sterling complete service is ready for any family occasion or entertaining. All the essential serving pieces are included with complete 6 piece settings. No need to complete a set with additional pieces that are expensive and difficult to find. I'm sure this service will be around for another 70 years. (I'm not sure what the price will be). This service contains over 63 troy oz. of Sterling silver. Most large Sterling flatware sets we sell are on consignment. The starting price is the minimum we can accept.
